Anger Control And Management

By Rene Lacape

The inability to control one's anger can lead to endangering one's life and others. Dealing with the stresses of today can be tough, which is why a handful of us fails to control anger. Inability to control anger can result into bigger crisis for the person with anger issues or other people around them because they are likely to act violent, are verbally abusive and even assault. Physical and mental attack in a form of mocking, humiliating, harming and threatening the life of others are also common. The key to dealing with anger is management and the first step towards it is to first admit that the current method chosen to deal with anger has created more problems.

Everyday, one is forced to face the challenges in life that may provoke anger be it from the people around us, the environment or just about anything. There are many who are able to face the challenges and deals with the stresses with triumph however, there may be some who cannot cope thus loosing control. The solution to anger is management but the first step towards dealing with this problem is to be able to admit that action taken as a result of incapability to control anger is causing further problems to oneself and others such as assault, violent acts and verbal abuse. It is common for a person who has anger issues to attack other people physically and mentally which could be anything from belittling, humiliating, harming or threatening another's life. All these can endanger someone's life therefore it is crucial that one learns to control anger.

One might find the case of a bullied child is often frustrating where the child might end up being blamed for his lack of control over anger but in actual fact, the child may have tried to tell the school personnel but no one seems to care. Unfortunately for the child, he is blamed for what has happen and the bully gets away with his deed. This is one way of stirring anger that can turn into violence.

Unfortunately, when this child reaches his or her limits and returns the attack on the child, he then becomes the culprit and is often punished. The bully too many times gets away with his behavior, and once the victim takes action he or she is often punished. The school personnel will often say why didn't you tell me what was going on? However, the fact is the child most likely told the personnel and in my experiences, they rarely act. Now we have two children with anger problems and more people in trouble. This is only one of the many reasons why a person cultivates anger to a degree of explosion. The bullied child who has resorted to take matters into his own hands is later punished. The bully however, might have gotten away with his action. It is more often than not that the school authority will question why the child have resorted to take matters in his own hand but in fact the child may have tried voicing this out to someone before nevertheless no one seems to be interested to take any action. A scenario such as this one is definitely a source of immense anger.

You will find that after this simple exercise, you no longer feel the desire to pounce at the cause of your anger. People who cannot resist the temptation of bursting into rage can be easily irritated by their source of irritation. That is why sometimes with just merely making harmless jokes can lead to violent attacks or abusive remarks.

It is important to get management in play if you have anger problems. If you cannot control your emotions then one day, someone will control them for you. Anger is good if you have it under control, but when you .loose control someone, someday will pay and that someone in many cases will be you as well as the trail of victims behind you. Anger management should be adapted for those with anger issues. When you learn to manage your anger, it becomes a useful mechanism for your well being but if you fail, not only will you victimize others around you but you victimize yourself too.
