Should You Design Your Own Vaporizer?

By Robert McGregor

With a lot of people growing aware of the health effects of vaporizers, expect lung cancer rates to go down soon. Experts say that vaporization is a better alternative to smoking since combustion is absent which frees bad smoke and other poisonous chemicals into the body.

In vaporization, the plant is heated until it becomes a vapor. Without burning, the vapor only carries the healthy active ingredients. It doesn't bring smoke and other bad chemicals that are byproducts of combustion. Due to this, the good vapor is merely inhaled and works fast to develop the expected effect.

Due to its unique action, a vaporizer makes the cleanest vapor possible. You won't inhale any junk. You won't disturb your throat or lungs. This is a whiff of fresh air for medical marijuana patients who want their fix without the ill effects of smoking. Regular marijuana users also say they feel higher with the same amount of cannabis using a vaporizer than with a pipe or blunt. In summary, you inhale pure tetrahydrocannabinol or THC, the main psychoactive ingredient of marijuana, without getting the adverse effects of other chemicals in the weed.

Considering this, there's no reason why you can't get your own vaporizer, especially since there are numerous models to select from with various prices. But if you don't have enough money, should you design your own vaporizer? Won't you save a bundle by doing so?

Building a vaporizer may look simple but it's not. A product normally comes with a warranty that ensures that it works well and won't do you any harm when used properly. When you make your own vaporizer from scratch, there's no guarantee that what you'll do is right. This can lead to problems later.

Murphy's Law tells us that if something can go wrong, it will. The same goes for homemade vaporizers. If you use improper materials such as glue or plastic, these could burn and injure you. THC normally vaporizes at'0 to'0 degrees but that's impossible to guess with a homemade vaporizer. There's no fool-proof way to ascertain the temperature except by chance. If you don't get it right, you'll only burn the weed which is bad.

Finally, a homemade vaporizer can lead to fires if the wiring isn't done right. You risk burning your abode just to save money which is a big risk to take. These disadvantages make homemade vaporizers a bad choice.
