Medical Insurance, Do I really need it?

By Graham McKenzie

Never question something that is a necessity. No matter what you think or feel about medical insurance, you need to understand that first and foremost, it is a necessity and you need it! Medical insurance is not only important for you, but also for your family. Can you shoulder the heavy weight of medical costs by yourself? I didn't think so.

There are lot of life threatening and extremely severe diseases and illnesses. A lot of these devastating diseases are cured or harnessed thanks to state-of-the-art medication. However these medications are usually not cheap and you could break the bank trying to personally pay for all of them.

In extreme circumstances, a transplant or serious operation is required. These are also not cheap and sometimes require that the patient travel to another state or even country.

Medical insurance can cover any form of illness or disease. The insurance can also cover the elderly, your loved ones, who have become serious disabled through old age and illness. The insurance companies can cover costs that will allow your loved ones to live on for years, even if the person is in a vegetative state.

The birth of the 21st century has also created a resurrection in the medical industry. New medications and procedures are allowing people to live longer than ever before. Diseases that would normally wipe people out are now controlled or cured to some extent. People are enjoying the fact that they can live longer, healthier lives. s

All of these risk factors dealing with you or your family's health are covered by medical insurance. The financial burdens of high medical bills and hospital costs are covered by the insurance broker. Now you can rest free knowing it will not put your family in financial debt.

Apply for medical insurance before your health turns for the worse. This seems like common sense, but too many people neglect to sign up for insurance until their health is a problem. However, health insurance providers are much more willingly to accept your policy when you are in a good state of health.

Insurance companies must also look out for themselves. Would you continue to throw away money? That is what you are asking insurance companies to do if they constantly protect and pay for a sick man or woman who just came begging to the insurance industry. But would you expect a close friend or relative to help you out, one with whom you've had a deep connection for years? Of course you would.

Develop a lifelong bond with your insurance company. Form that relationship early on in your life when you are healthy and full of life. The insurance company will return the loyalty by providing when you're in a time of need.
